To promote their new single, “Hit the Lights”, Selena Gomez & The Scene will be performing on Dancing with the Stars tomorrow (as we previously reported).
They will also be doing a VEVO Go Show performance (similar to Demi Lovato’s).
Lastly, they will have a new, “nighttime version” of the “Hit the Lights” music video which will premiere on April 20th!

Got the idea from someone who said Demi looked like Ariel, so I decided to make Disney princesses out of the three Disney Channel princesses: Demi, Miley, and of course Selena.

I really hate it when people put Selena, Miley and Demi up against each other… they are all very talented in their own ways and if anything, the three should team up to do something together.
Wow, seriously Hollywood Records?
I know this may sound late, but it’s actually been bothering me for a while, but I figured that after all the success the band has had, they would have the courtesy to change it by now…
On the official Hollywood Records website, they show all of the acts that they represent, and of course, guess who they fail to mention! The Scene.
Once again, the very own record company has failed to mention it as Selena Gomez & THE SCENE. Honestly, it’s disrespectful. These guys work so hard and Selena herself originally wanted it to be called just The Scene, because even she knew this would happen.
Get it together, Hollywood Records! They are a band, not Gomez’s solo career!
PS- I guess rumors of Miley Cyrus not being a part of the label anymore was false.
Clevver TV has now announced that TV Produced Johnathan Woodbeck tweeted out the rumored line-up for the Britney Spears tribute that will air during the VMA’s on August 28th.
Again, like on our last post about the VMA’s, Selena is rumored to perform “Baby One More Time”. However, the line up is different than the picture we posted..
Now they are saying that Katy Perry will be singing “Oops! I Did It Again”, Janet Jackson will take on “Slave 4 U”, Demi Lovato will sing “Toxic”, Lady Gaga will sing “Circus”, and Ke$ha and Nicki Minaj will perform “Gimmie More”. All of this leading to Spears hitting the stage herself to perform “Hold it Against Me” and “I Wanna Go”.
This would be more believable if Demi Lovato weren’t included, and as much as we hate to say, if Selena weren’t either. We just don’t think that with the rest of the divas performing, that they would include 2 Disney stars (even though that’s where Spears had her start). Plus, where’s Rihanna in all this? She did after all collaborate with Spears for “S&M”.
Drummer Greg Garman was interviewed for the San Luis Obispo Tribune.
On being a noisy neighbor: Growing up in Morro Bay, Greg Garman spent hours practicing the drums in his family’s garage. ‘Several times, the police would knock on our door,’ his mother recalled. ‘In the newspaper it’d say, ‘The little drummer kid is at it again.’ ’.
On different auditions: Garman went on several auditions during his time at the performing arts school, narrowly missing the chance to play with ‘Camp Rock’ star Demi Lovato. He was working as a teaching assistant at Musicians Institute when he decided to audition for a new band fronted by another Disney pop princess, Selena Gomez. Unfortunately, the final tryout coincided with his teaching gig.
‘I’m thinking, ‘Oh man. What am I going to do?’ ’ Garman recalled. ’ ‘Worst case scenario, I don’t get the gig and I’m fired.’ ‘
